Letter of recommendation for Photographer Mike Crotts
I met Mike Crotts about six years ago. I was preparing
for my first fitness contest that was in 1997. The
particular fitness event I was preparing for consisted
of three parts. An introductory speech in an evening
gown giving ones philosophy on fitness, a physique
round where competitors are judged on overall tone
and body symmetry and the final round, a 90 second
routine set to music showing elements of gymnastics,
hip hop, jazz dance or other forms of dance incorporating
strength, flexibility and endurance.
As my fitness event drew closer, I realized that
I should have a photographer to take pictures of me
in my evening gown, bathing suit and fitness outfit
for my dance routine. It was suggested that I start
a fitness portfolio to submit to the different fitness
magazines in order to get exposure. I was introduced
to Mike through mutual friends. He spent many hours
with me helping me to realize my fitness goals. I
competed for five years and Mike helped to make those
years very rewarding and successful for me. He was
responsible for all of my fitness photos, and he put
together a wonderful website for me, "fit at
50" which he maintained for over a year. This
website featured photos of my competitions along with
background information on me.
I was lucky enough to be featured in several fitness
magazines over the five years that I competed. Some
of these are Ms. Fitness magazine, Oxygen Magazine
and I was featured in Sacramento's Best Magazine.
All of these magazines featured the pictures that
Mike took of me.
He's a wonderful photographer, easy to work with
and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a
great photographer.
Sincerely,
Chris Woodyard
